About Surfdancers

Surfdancers is a dance production company and surf academy that expresses surfing and dancing through many artistic mediums. Potential Surfdancers are experienced surfers and trained dancers with a passion and love for surfing and dancing. Surfdancers practice the art of SurfdancingTM. SurfdancingTM can be expressed through many mediums and is currently practised in Noosa Heads Australia. SurfdancingTM classes consist of a beach and ocean component. The beach component is dance expressing surfing. SurfdancingTM on the beach includes surfing technique, surf education, creative dance choreography, twirling, music , costume, yoga, gymanstics, improvisation, paddling choroegraphy and the practice of what will be achieved in the ocean. Many breakthrough surfing moves are created in the surfdance beach component. The ocean component consists of surfing expressing dance. SurfdancingTM on the ocean includes surfing, surfing manoeuvers, syncronised surfing, paddling choroegraphy, surf training, dancing on the surfboard with the waves, twirling and team ocean production. The launch of surfdancers commenced in March 2005 @ the Nooa Festival of Surfing. Surfdancer Pty Ltd also offered a Surfdancing display and co-ordinated the opening ceremony of the Noosa Longboard Festival 2006. Surfdancing articles are available at www.surfdancer.com
